Colombo Institute of Higher Education Campus was formed as a concept by Aesthetician Mrs. Chamalie Caldera, who is one of the leading cosmetologists in Sri Lanka with the purpose of saving the cosmetology industry. Not only Mrs. Chamalie Caldera is known in the field of cosmetology, but she is known in the higher education sector for her contribution to that particular industry. She is also a reputed Entrepreneur in the relevant industries and a well-known Cosmetologist. In 2004 it was registered as an institute and started to deliver the below qualifications,

Foreign Education qualifications by taking students to Malaysia / Singapore and Thailand and training them.

In 2015 we received the TVEC Approval to deliver 2 qualifications in the institute namely, NVQ Level 04 in Hairdresser and NVQ Level 04 in Beautician qualifications. By 2017, we were able to move into a fully own and the biggest training center in Western Province, and in 2020 they received the accreditation for NVQ Level 04 in Bridal Dresser. As major projects, they contributed to finalizing the curriculums of NVQ Level 04 Beautician qualification & Bridal Dresser qualification and In 2020 NAITA Examination Center to conduct RPL examinations.
