Dr. Chamalie Caldera is a distinguished professional in the fields of education, beauty, Ayurvedic medicine, cosmetology, and aesthetic medicine. She serves as the Founder Chairperson and Director of the Colombo Institute of Higher Education Pvt Ltd, a TVEC and NAITA-approved institution committed to delivering quality higher education and professional training.

Dr. Chamalie is also the Founder and Owner of Chamalie Caldera Hair Design & Beauty Academy, Dermaline Aesthetic Clinic, and Athree Ayurvedic Center, where her expertise integrates cosmetology, aesthetic practice, higher education, and holistic healthcare.

An Ayurvedic Doctor specializing in skincare, she is passionate about blending ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern beauty and wellness innovations. Her academic qualifications include a BSc in Cosmetology from Open International University for Complementary Medicine and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cosmetology from ILAMED, India.

Her academic and professional contributions extend to serving as a Lecturer at International Open University and actively participating in the development of National Competency Standards for Bridal Dressing and Therapeutic Care at National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), Sri Lanka. She is also a qualified TVEC and NAITA Assessor for NVQ Levels 03 and 04.

Dr. Chamalie’s international exposure includes professional training and qualifications obtained in Australia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, strengthening her global outlook and industry expertise. She is the Founder Secretary of the Lanka THAB (Teachers’ Association of Hair & Beauty) and formerly served as Treasurer of the Professional Hair Dressers & Beauticians Association of Sri Lanka.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she was honored with the prestigious “Desha Shakthi” award in 2011 and received the “Proud of the Nation” award in 2025. As a pioneering leader in Sri Lanka’s beauty and wellness industry, Dr. Chamalie has played a transformative role in introducing key professional qualifications to the country, including the Advanced Certificate for Aesthetician, Certificate for Aesthetician, Certificate in Microblading and Lip Blushing, and the Eyelash Master certification.
