Ms. Kaumadee Rathnayake graduated from the Sri Lanka College of Journalism in 2010 and she started out her career as a journalist. Since then, she has worked at media stations such as ETV, Rupavahini, and Daily Mirror respectively. She is a graduate of the University of Colombo in the year of 2013 where she completed her BA as an English major. Since completing the degree she worked at CA Sri Lanka as a coordinator, has lectured at SLCJ as a lecturer of English, and then she entered into the field of advertising. She worked at Neo@Ogilvy and Media Jogger respectively.

In 2015, She completed her diploma in general psychology offered by the Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology. Between 2016-and 2017 Ms. Kaumadee completed her MSc in applied psychology with Coventry University (UK), specializing in clinical and counseling psychology. She completed her internship at CIRP life center where she trained under licensed psychologists and gained some practical experiences which enriched her potential. Between 2017-2018 she joined LPF academy, Dehiwala where she worked as an English teacher for Cambridge AL and OL students. At the same time, she was contributing as the school counselor and have worked with students from grades 5 to ALs. Between 2018-and 2019, She worked at Asian Institute of Business and Science as a student counselor and a lecturer in English. Since mid-2019, she has been focusing on a solo career where she has invested her time in practicing counseling, teaching English and Psychology, and translating.

Ms. Kaumadee completed her 1st translation in the March of 2020. It is a self-guide called ‘yuga Divi arena sisilasa’ which she translated into English as ‘the sanctuary of marriage’. Since 2019 She has also been an active member of the theatre team called ‘the Lionel Wendt workshop players’ where She has been involved as a scriptwriter, a scene director, and an actor. She is currently working as a visiting lecturer at IIT, and the Words academy. She conducts psychological counseling services to a clientele between the ages of 10-28 and She does counseling at “Archer’s life”.
