Nipuni Fernando is a cosmetologist, lecturer, trainer and consultant qualified in Cosmetology and specialized in aesthetic skincare treatment. She completed her Certificate course in HRM – Institute of Personnel Management in 2009 and She completed the Licentiateship Award in Beauty Therapy & Hair dressing – City & Guilds UK Level 4 in 2013. In 2014, She completed SIB5001 Diploma of Beauty Therapy, AQF – Level 5 and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE 40110 (Australian Qualifications Framework). In 2019, She completed her Bachelor of Science in Cosmetology (BSc) in University of Kanpur India and She is Reading for MBA. University of Wales – Imprerial Institute of Higher Education from 2019. She has also successfully completed her Postgraduate diploma in Cosmetology (PGDC) and Certificate in Micro-pigmenting from Institute of Laser and Aesthetic Medicine India affiliated to University of Greifswald, Germany in 2019. She has achieved the Associate degree of Cosmetology from Open International University of Complimentary Medicines and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration.

With her strong academic background and specialized skills Nipuni has made significant contributions to organizations and educational institutions as an assessor, verifier, lecturer and trainer.  Some of her significant academic achievements include being the only qualified Assessor of AQF (Australia) level 5 in beauty therapy in Sri Lanka. She has also been one of the 1st Postgraduate diploma holders in Cosmetology in Sri Lanka.

Serving across diverse roles in multiple organizations she not only contributed effectively but spearheaded initiatives that added significant value in beauty and personal care. Her 15 years of extensive industry experience focused on Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing, HR development and overall, Salon management, has placed her in numerous training and development roles, and consultancy positions.

In her management role of high-profile beauty salons and cosmetic brands, she gained significant technical expertise and in-depth understanding of therapies that led her to achieve multiple industry awards and accolades. Nipuni has led and conducted numerous workshops island-wide on vocational and educational trainings, as well as product trainings on world renowned cosmetic brands.

Her Management & Training Experience Summary includes being a Panel Member and lecturer for bachelor of Science Cosmetology Degree Program from 2019 to date in Open International University of Complimentary Medicines. She is being a Business Development Manager and a Lecturer in Ramani Fernando Training Hair & Beauty Academy from 2018 to date. She served as a director of Studies in International Institute of Cosmetology and as a Manager Technical in Sanguin Pvt Ltd. Loreal Sri Lanka from 2016 to 2018. She is a Qualified Lecturer, Assessor, Knowledge Provider & External Verifier at City & Guilds UK from 2014 to up to date. She is also a Manager in Training & Admin in 4Ever Group – Chalmway International Hair & Beauty Institute from 2012 to 2014.

Currently serving on the panel and as a lecturer for the Bachelor of Science Cosmetology Degree program in the Open International University for Complimentary medicine, she plays a key role in developing talent and enhancing the education of the beauty therapy industry. She is also a consultant for organizations manufacturing and marketing cosmetics, aesthetic clinics and a resource person for educational institutions.
