Chairwoman Mrs. Chamalie Caldera is the Founder & Owner of Saloon Chithmal & Esthetic Clinic, Chamalie Caldera Hair Design & Beauty Academy which is a TVEC & NAITA Approved center, of Manalee Roo Madhura, and of Athree Aurewdic Center. She has completed the BSc in Cosmetology at Open International University for Complementary Medicine and has continued to successfully complete her Postgraduate Diploma in Cosmetology in ILAMED, India. She is also a reputed lecturer at International Open University and a proud member of National Competency Standards, Bridal dresser & Therapeutic care at NAITA Sri Lanka. Mrs Chamalie Calder is also a TVEC and NAITA Assessor for Level 03 & Level 04. She also bears the title of Justice of Peace.

She started her career in 1996 at Youth Center Maharagama, and she is recognized as a qualified professional in Australia, India, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore. She started Chamalie Caldera Hair Design & Beauty Academy back in 2002, and She participated in the international competitions in Australia, representing Sri Lanka (Hair Olympics) in 2004 and 2007. She is a former PHABA Treasurer, A founder Secretary of Lanka THAB. (Teachers Association of Hair & Beauty) and A Former treasurer of the Professional Hairdressers & Beauticians Association of Sri Lanka. She is a member of National Competency Standards (NSC) and a member of BSS (Bharat Sevak Samaj) Skill Mission & License holder (Reg no: 116161) in India. She was there on the Development Panel for Bridle Dresser & Therapeutic care. She is also a Certified lifetime member of the Institute of Laser & Aesthetic medicines, India, which is Affiliated to the University to the University of Greifswald, Germany.

She has been awarded several times throughout her journey. She was awarded the honor of “Desha Shakthi” in 2011. Some of her latest achievements include the followings; In 2021, She was presented an award by Honorable Prime Minister Arya Shiranthi Rajapaksha for her service and mission to the beauty sector in almost 26 years at the International Open University in Sri Lanka. She has also been awarded for her incredible journey throughout cosmetology the Sri Lankan top leaders award as one of the top 100 leaders in Sri Lanka. Moreover, recently, in 2022, she was awarded the name of National honor “Rupalavanya Padma Vibhushana Keerthi Sri for the immense service that she has done for the cosmetology sector Deshamanya” award, which the National Mission Appreciation organized for the Cosmetology sector at BMICH.
